Washington, June 26 (SANA)Syrian Consul Ahmad al-Malatimet with officials from theU.S. State Department‘s Bureau of Consular Affairs and Office of the Legal Adviser to discuss the legal and procedural arrangements for resuming consular services, including the authentication and verification of official documents.

During the meeting, the U.S. State Department granted consular accreditation to the Embassy of theSyrian Arab RepublicinWashington, paving the way for the resumption of consular services in accordance with established procedures and regulations.

The move marks an important step toward facilitating consular services and official transactions for Syrian citizens residing in the United States.
