ETED trasladará este sábado autotransformador móvil de 138/69 kV desde Itabo hacia la subestación Boca Chica
Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) reported that, this Saturday the 27th, it will carry out the transfer of a 138/69 kV – 80 MVA mobile autotransformer from the warehouse located in Itabo, Haina, to the Boca Chica substation, in the province of Santo Domingo, municipality of Boca Chica.
In this sense, the ETED explained that these works will be carried out by the Infrastructure Maintenance Directorate (DMI) and are part of the urgent actions aimed at temporarily increasing the transformation capacity at the Boca Chica substation. The objective is to respond to the growth in demand in the eastern zone and guarantee the continuity, reliability, safety and quality of the electrical transmission service.
The transfer is scheduled to begin at 5:00 in the morning and is part of the operational plan to strengthen the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI), while the installation project of the new autotransformer with greater capacity in said substation advances.
The executive vice president of the ETED, Alfonso Rodríguez, highlighted that these actions reflect the institutional commitment to continue strengthening the transmission infrastructure to ensure an efficient and stable service for the benefit of citizens, especially in areas of high growth in electricity demand.
The company indicated that the operation will have the technical coordination of the Energy Control Center (CCE) and the logistical and security support necessary to guarantee the safe and efficient development of the transfer, as well as the associated maneuvers.
These tasks are part of the maintenance and expansion program carried out by the ETED to strengthen the national transmission network and ensure the stability of the electrical system in the Eastern region of the country.

El vicepresidente ejecutivo de la ETED,Alfonso Rodríguez, destacó que estas acciones reflejan el compromiso institucional de continuarfortaleciendo la infraestructura de transmisiónpara asegurar un servicioeficiente y estableen beneficio de la ciudadanía, especialmente en zonas de alto crecimiento de la demanda eléctrica.
