Presidente Abinader inaugura techado multiuso escolar en Duvergé
Duvergé.-President Luis Abinader, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, inaugurated this Friday the roof of the Félix María del Monte educational center, in the Duvergé municipality, in the Independencia province, an infrastructure that will allow 388 students and teachers to develop sports, recreational and school activities in better conditions.
During the opening ceremony, the head of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd), Luis Miguel De Camps, highlighted that, starting today, with this work that the community has been waiting for for a long time, the school has an adequate space for sports practice, cultural activities, meetings of the educational community and many of the initiatives that are part of the daily life of a school.
The Minister of Education expressed that each investment in education reflects a way of understanding the development of the country. "Our president Luis Abinader has been clear in placing education at the center of that vision: that no student sees their future limited due to lack of opportunities; that education continues to be the main tool of social mobility; and that each community has adequate spaces to learn and develop."
De Camps stated that the work represents a concrete improvement for the students, teachers and families of this community and added that when a school has decent spaces, it also strengthens the sense of belonging of those who live it every day and the students feel that space as their own, they take care of it, they take advantage of it and make it part of their school experience.
He said that, frequently, when we talk about education, we think about classrooms, books, teachers and learning, and that all of this is essential, but educating also means creating the conditions for each student to discover their abilities, learn to live with others, strengthen their confidence and find opportunities to fully develop. community.”
The new multi-purpose roof has bleachers, bathrooms and green areas. It had an investment of RD 45,597,393.65 and its execution was in charge of the School Infrastructure Directorate (DIE).

Rauidis Jesús Mancebo Mateo, from the sixth grade of primary school, spoke on behalf of the students, who expressed his gratitude for the delivery of this multipurpose device, which he said will be of great benefit to the school and the community. "We received this space with joy and with the commitment to take care of it and make the most of it. Today, we not only receive a work, but also an opportunity to continue growing, learning and dreaming big."

In the activity, the Municipal Council of Duvergé declared President Luis Abinadery a distinguished guest to the commission of officials who accompanied him, in recognition of his visit to the municipality. The distinction was granted through Resolution no. 0010-26, approved by the Council of Aldermen of that district.
Later, President Abinader cut the ribbon that inaugurated the work and took photographs with the students, in addition to sharing a moment with them.
