Ejecutivo y OCDE dan seguimiento al proceso de incorporación de Panamá a este organismo
The Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, met this Thursday with Silvia da Rin Pagnetto, director of the Council Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the Secretary General for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Development Center of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as a follow-up to the incorporation of Panama into this international organization.
At the meeting, where the Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF), Felipe Chapman, was also present, an update of Panama's Action Plan for entry into the OECD was presented, through State policies such as adopting international standards, strengthening its competitiveness and improving transparency.
Also participating in the meeting, for Panama, the vice minister of the MEF, Eida Sáiz, and for the ODCE, Sharomey Rojas.
The meeting was used to discuss the support required on the issue of legal instruments and the signing of the Venture Capital (VC) investment contract, as well as the PIAAC agreement (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) that involves research institutions.

El ministro de la Presidencia, Juan Carlos Orillac, se reunió este jueves con Silvia da Rin Pagnetto, directora de la Secretaría del Consejo y del Comité Ejecutivo del secretario general para América Latina y el Caribe del Centro de Desarrollo de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE), como seguimiento a la incorporación de Panamá a este organismo internacional. En el encuentro, donde también estuvo el ministro de Economía y Finanzas (MEF), Felipe Chapman, se presentó una actualización del Plan de Acción de Panamá para el ingreso a la OCDE, a través de políticas de Estado como adoptar estándares internacionales, fortalecer su competitividad y mejorar la transparencia. También participaron en la reunión, por Panamá, la viceministra del MEF, Eida Sáiz, y por la ODCE, Sharomey Rojas. La reunión se aprovechó para conversar sobre el apoyo requerido en el tema de instrumentos legales y la firma de contrato de inversión Venture Capital (VC), así como el acuerdo PIAAC (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) que involucra instituciones de investigación.
