Gobierno amplía convocatoria de sesiones extraordinarias en Asamblea Legislativa.
Initiatives promote security, investment, employment and modernization of the State.
The President of the Republic, Laura Fernández Delgado, extended the call for extraordinary sessions of the Legislative Assembly, incorporating a broad agenda of strategic projects for the country.
The new call was possible through Executive Decree No. 45,787-MP, signed by the president together with the Minister of the Presidency, Rodrigo Chaves Robles.
The expansion includes important initiatives such as Marina de Limón to develop a cruise terminal that will generate investment and employment, Electrical harmonization to generate competition in the market and reduce rates, Public Private Alliances to develop infrastructure works at a lower cost for the State, the Crucitas project to stop gold looting and City Government to save the people more than $30 million annually paid in rent.
The agenda also incorporates constitutional reforms to eliminate the automatic re-election of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, since they have entrenched themselves in their positions for decades without being accountable to citizens.
The Government calls on the deputies to move forward with responsibility and a sense of urgency in becoming aware of these initiatives, which seek to respond to the current needs of the country and build better opportunities for all Costa Ricans.

La Presidente de la República, Laura Fernández Delgado, amplió la convocatoria a sesiones extraordinarias de la Asamblea Legislativa, incorporando una amplia agenda de proyectos estratégicos para el país. La nueva convocatoria fue posible a través del Decreto Ejecutivo N° 45.787-MP, firmado por la mandataria junto con el Ministro de la Presidencia, Rodrigo Chaves Robles. La ampliación incluye iniciativas importantes como Marina de Limón para desarrollar una terminal de cruceros que generará inversión y empleo, Armonización eléctrica para generar competencia en el mercado y reducir las tarifas, Alianzas Público Privadas para desarrollar obras de infraestructura a un menor costo para el Estado, el proyecto de Crucitas para frenar el saqueo del oro y Ciudad Gobierno para ahorrarle al pueblo más de $30 millones anuales que se pagan en alquileres. La agenda también incorpora reformas constitucionales para eliminar la reelección automática de magistrados de la Corte Suprema de Justicia y del Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones, pues se han enquistado en sus puestos por décadas sin rendirle cuentas a los ciudadanos. El Gobierno hace un llamado a los diputados a avanzar con responsabilidad y sentido de urgencia en el conocimiento de estas iniciativas, que buscan responder a las necesidades actuales del país y construir mejores oportunidades para todos los costarricenses.
