Presidente Laura Fernández presenta paquete de leyes de mano dura contra el crimen

The President of the Republic, Laura Fernández Delgado, presented today before the Legislative Assembly a package of bills to firmly confront crime, drug trafficking and organized crime.
1. Strong-handed law against criminal recidivism.
2.Law to disable landing strips.
3.Zero leisure law in prisons.
4.Law on sanctions for membership in criminal organizations.
5.Gerson Rosales Law: Comprehensive protection of the victim and the police officer.
6.Law for national security, registry and judicial archives.
“This Government is on the side of the victims, of the honest families and of the police officers who risk their lives every day for Costa Rica. We are not going to continue tolerating a revolving door that returns criminals to the streets,” stated the President.
The president also defended the institutional support for the police forces and warned that those who attack an officer will be attacking the safety of all Costa Ricans.
The President made a direct call to the deputies to approve the initiatives without political calculations or excuses. “It is up to you deputies to make the decisions that our police forces and the families of the victims are waiting for,” he reiterated.

La Presidente de la República, Laura Fernández Delgado, presentó hoy ante la Asamblea Legislativa un paquete de proyectos de ley para enfrentar con firmeza la delincuencia, el narcotráfico y el crimen organizado. 1.Ley de mano dura contra la reincidencia delictiva. 2.Ley para inhabilitación de pistas de aterrizaje. 3.Ley de cero ocio en las cárceles. 4.Ley de sanción de pertenencia a organizaciones criminales. 5.Ley Gerson Rosales: Protección integral a la víctima y al servidor policial. 6.Ley para la seguridad nacional, registral y de archivos judiciales. “Este Gobierno está del lado de las víctimas, de las familias honestas y de los policías que todos los días arriesgan su vida por Costa Rica.No vamos a seguir tolerando una puerta giratoria que devuelve delincuentes a las calles”, afirmó la Presidente. La mandataria también defendió el respaldo institucional a los cuerpos policiales y advirtió que quienes ataquen a un oficial estarán atentando contra la seguridad de todos los costarricenses. La Presidente hizo un llamado directo a los diputados para que aprueben las iniciativas sin cálculos políticos ni excusas. “Les toca a ustedes diputados tomar las decisiones que nuestros cuerpos policiales y las familias de las víctimas están esperando”, reiteró.
