President reviews AI initiatives in Namangan regionDuring his visit to Namangan region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev assessed the work of the artificial intelligence laboratory at Namangan State Technical University.
Uzbekistan is consistently implementing measures to develop its regions through modern technologies, digitalize public administration and service delivery, and make extensive use of artificial intelligence capabilities.
The laboratory provides the necessary conditions to strengthen students’ practical knowledge and skills, apply artificial intelligence technologies in real-world projects, and enhance the research capacity of the university’s academic staff.
It comprises centers for analytics, robotics, and bionics, a startup accelerator, nine smart classrooms, and two training rooms for developing AI skills.
The center will develop and implement innovative scientific and practical projects in artificial intelligence, robotics, smart transport, environmental protection, and agricultural technologies.
The Head of State emphasized the need to expand this experience and, more broadly, to engage the intellectual and scientific potential of young people in the development of key sectors.
The President was also shown start-up projects developed by artificial intelligence advisers operating in regional, city, and district hokimiyats.
The Head of State spoke with the young people and listened to their ideas and proposals.
