This week, the Combatting Hate Act became law.

That means law enforcement has much stronger tools to target those who commit acts of hate against a community, including those who threaten or intimidate people at their place of worship.

Because a fundamental promise of Canada is that you can be who you are and worship how you choose — openly, visibly, proudly, and safely.

This week, the Anti-Hate Act came into force.

This law gives law enforcement much more effective tools to combat individuals who commit hate crimes against a community, including those who intimidate people in their place of worship.

Because one of Canada's promises is that everyone can be themselves and practice their religion as they wish, openly, visibly, proudly and safely.

Notes

This week, the Combatting Hate Act became law. That means law enforcement has much stronger tools to target those who commit acts of hate against a community, including those who threaten or intimidate people at their place of worship. Because a fundamental promise of Canada is that you can be who you are and worship how you choose — openly, visibly, proudly, and safely.
