Fellow Gambians
The NPP Manifesto and Nine-Point Plan launched are not mere campaign instruments. They signify our continued commitment to the Gambian people and reflect the next phase of our national transformation journey. Looking inward, the NPP is now a mature, strong national party built on peace, stability, development, and inclusiveness. Our goal is not only to win elections, but also to consistently continue building a stronger, more modern, and more prosperous Gambia for all citizens. At the centre of this vision are our youth and women. Our young people deserve every opportunity one can imagine. They deserve skills, jobs, technology, entrepreneurship opportunities, and access to modern industries. This is why our plan places major emphasis on youth employment, digital innovation, technical training, sports development, and entrepreneurship support.
We also recognise the critical role of Gambian women in national development. We know, with certainty, that no country can progress if half of its population is left behind; therefore, we will persistently expand opportunities for women in business, leadership, education, agriculture, and the public service. Food security remains a national priority. We cannot continue to depend excessively on imports when we have fertile land, hardworking farmers, and enormous agricultural potential.
Consequently, our government will continue investing in irrigation, rice production, livestock development, fisheries modernisation, and agro-processing initiatives to lower food costs and increase national self-sufficiency.
Convinced that roads, electricity, water systems, internet connectivity, ports, and transport networks are the backbone of our economy, we will correspondingly continue expanding our infrastructure network. By the same principle, we will remain committed to strengthening healthcare, education, and all other welfare and development services.
