Beirut, June 18 (SANA)Head of the Syrian General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport, Omar Hosari, met with the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Middle East Airlines (MEA), Mohammad al-Hout, in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday.

Talks during the meeting dealt with ways to enhance cooperation in the air transport sector and develop air connectivity between the two countries.

The meeting comes as part of an official visit by a delegation from the Authority to Lebanon.

The Authority said on its Telegram channel that the meeting, which was also attended by the Authority’s deputies and the Director of Lebanese Civil Aviation, Mohammad Aziz, addressed cooperation between the two national carriers, in addition to several technical matters related to air navigation and airspace management.

Mustafa Khairallah, head of the Authority’s Media Department, told SANA that the meetings held in Beirut were practical in nature, focusing on opportunities for future cooperation and the exchange of expertise.

A delegation from theGeneral Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, headed by Hosari, began a visit to Lebanon on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in the civil aviation and air transport sector between the two countries.
