Director del Inapa destaca impacto del saneamiento para el desarrollo humano en Expo Construcción RD
Santiago.- The executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewers (Inapa), Wellington Arnaud, gave the conference “Planning to transform: effective management as a path to human development, sustainability and public trust”, within the framework of the Expo Construction RD fair (Exco RD 2026), which takes place in the province of Santiago.
The official recounted the main works that the institution he directs has carried out thanks to good planning and continuity of the State.
Among the drinking water works mentioned are the aqueducts of Villa Altagracia, Monción, Navarrete, Ocoa, Miches and Pedernales.
Regarding sanitation, he mentioned the most important work in social and environmental matters carried out by the Government: the sanitation of the Gurabo stream; as well as the wastewater treatment plant in the municipality of Baní, Peravia province, and that in the municipality of Las Matas de Farfán, in the province of San Juan.
"This is human development. This is investing in people's quality of life; so we appreciate the commitment of President Luis Abinader who, through Inapa, has made it a reality," he said.
Likewise, Arnaud spoke of the important Universal Sanitation Program for Coastal and Tourist Cities, for which the country has received recognition from the authorities of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as a reference for sanitation in the region and the world.
Exco RD 2026 is the main fair for the real estate and construction sector in Cibao. It takes place from June 17 to 19 in the multipurpose hall of the PUCMM, in Santiago, and is organized by the Association of Housing Developers and Builders of Cibao (Aprocovici).
The activity seeks to articulate the growth of the sector by generating business opportunities, promoting innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of the industry, and its organizers seek to institutionalize it as an annual reference fair in the Dominican Republic.

Exco RD 2026es la principal feria del sectorinmobiliario y de la construcción en el Cibao. Se desarrolla del 17 al 19 de junio en el salón multiusos de la PUCMM, en Santiago, y es organizada por la Asociación de Promotores y Constructores de Viviendas del Cibao(Aprocovici).
