ETED realizará trabajos de normalización en la subestación Cruce de Cabral II
Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) reported that this Friday, June 19, it will carry out standardization work at the 138 kV Cruce de Cabral II substation, with the aim of strengthening the reliability and security of the transmission network in the southern region of the country.
The work includes high voltage tests (Hipot) on new equipment installed in the four line fields of the substation, as part of the culmination of the expansion works carried out in this important installation of the National Transmission System. These adaptations will allow the transmission infrastructure to be strengthened and create the necessary conditions for the integration of new generation plants to the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI), in several provinces in the southern zone.
To carry out these works, the intervention of the 138 kV line Km 15 from Azua – Cruce de Cabral II – Juancho Los Cocos will be necessary, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. m. to 11:00 a.m. m., so the electrical service will be affected in the municipalities of Barahona Pueblo, Vicente Noble, Salinas and Las Damas, belonging to the Barahona province; Neyba, belonging to the Bahoruco province, and Jimaní and Duvergé, belonging to the Independencia province.
Likewise, the companies Barahona Carbón, Canoa Solar, Ingenio Barahona, Zona Franca de Barahona, Barahona Airport, Khoury Industrial, the Hydroelectric Power Plant and the South-West Aqueduct will be impacted.
Also, intervention will be carried out on the 138 kV line Km 15 from Azua – Juancho Los Cocos, from 12:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon, affecting the electricity supply in the Pedernales province.
The ETED appreciates the citizens' understanding and reiterates that these works are part of its maintenance, modernization and expansion program of the national transmission network, aimed at guaranteeing an increasingly stable, safe and efficient electrical service for all Dominicans.
