Damascus, June 18 (SANA)Syrian andJordanian health delegations held technical meetings and consultative sessions in Damascus on Thursday to discuss enhancing cooperation in the pharmaceutical andhealthcare sectors, on the sidelines of the visit ofJordanian Minister of HealthIbrahim Al-Badour to Syria.

The discussions focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, drug registration procedures, hospital management, healthcare services development, and training and capacity-building programs.

Members of the two delegations also explored support for establishing an epidemic surveillance center in Syria, strengthening cooperation in specialized healthcare services, and expanding partnerships in cancer care and medical training through cooperation withJordan’s King Hussein Cancer Center.

The meetings underscored the importance of exchanging expertise, advancing healthcare quality standards, and enhancing coordination between the two countries to support the development of the health sector.
