Berlin, June 18 (SANA)The Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Berlin, Mohammad Baraa Shukri, participated on Thursday in a roundtable discussion entitled “TheNew Syria: Visions and Prospects for Trade Relations with German Companies,” held on the sidelines of the Arab-German Business Forum inBerlin.

The meeting was attended by Clemens Hach, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the German Federal Foreign Office, Walid Sahari, Chairman of the Syrian-German Business Council, and a number of businessmen and representatives of major companies.

The 29th Arab-German Business Forum opened on Thursday in Berlin, bringing together senior government officials, diplomats, and business leaders from across the Arab world and Germany to discuss expanding economic cooperation and investment opportunities.

Later, Shukri met the German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche, on the sidelines of the Arab-German Business Forum.

The two sides discussed mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between Syria and Germany in the energy sector, reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure in Syria.
