I thank the media for their willingness and interest in reporting on a very sensitive and potentially serious matter that we are addressing. We have just had a meeting led by the President of the Republic, and in which the different Powers of the State and authorities participated, to discuss the scope of the complaints and information that we have learned regarding to the massive entry of children and adolescents from Haiti and possible irregularities in their arrival to Chile. First, to affirm the institutional nature of this meeting and its objective, which is none other than to establish effective coordination between the institutions to find the answers and solutions demanded by this serious case. Second, the President has called for responsibility and seriousness in the treatment of this case, reacting urgently to clear the information gaps that have been detected and ensure, as soon as possible, the protection of children and adolescents who eventually Their rights may have been violated or whose whereabouts today are unknown. Third, as a Government, as announced by the Minister of the Interior yesterday, a Task Force has been created to expedite the search for information, and the President has asked me to lead the coordination of ministries and services to articulate the State's response and expedite the exchanges of information that allow us to clear up, as soon as possible, all the doubts that exist. In the next few hours we will hold various meetings to advance the fulfillment of this objective. and we will inform you of all these progress. As a Government, for us the central thing is to find answers urgently and protect children and adolescents who may have been subject to violation. Declaración de ministra de Desarrollo Social y Familia,María Jesús Wulf, tras reunirse con S.E. el Presidente de la República y autoridades de Estado por situación de menores haitianosPalacio de La Moneda, 18 de junio de 2026Muy buenos días.Agradezco a los medios de comunicación por la disposición y el interés para informar sobre una materia muy sensible y potencialmente grave que estamos abordando.Acabamos de tener una reunión liderada por el Presidente de la República, y en la cual participaron los diferentes Poderes del Estado y autoridades, para discutir sobre los alcances de las denuncias e informaciones que hemos conocido respecto al ingreso masivo de niños y adolescentes provenientes de Haití y eventuales irregularidades en su llegada a Chile.Lo primero, afirmar el carácter institucional de esta reunión y su objetivo, que no es otro que establecer una coordinación efectiva entre las instituciones para encontrar las respuestas y soluciones que demanda este grave caso.Segundo, el Presidente ha hecho un llamado a la responsabilidad y seriedad en el tratamiento de este caso, reaccionando con urgencia para despejar los vacíos de información que se han detectado y asegurar, lo más pronto posible, la protección de niños y adolescentes que eventualmente puedan haber sido vulnerados en sus derechos o cuyo paradero hoy se desconozca.Tercero, como Gobierno, como lo anunció el ministro del Interior ayer, se ha creado una Fuerza de Tarea para agilizar la búsqueda de información, y el Presidente me ha solicitado liderar la coordinación de ministerios y servicios para articular la respuesta del Estado y agilizar los intercambios de información que nos permitan despejar, lo antes posible, todas las dudas que existen.En las próximas horas vamos a sostener diversas reuniones para avanzar en el cumplimiento de este objetivo y les iremos informando todos estos avances.
