Syria, Jordan discuss health cooperation and pharmaceutical security

The discussions, which included health officials from both countries, focused on capacity-building and the exchange of expertise in digital transformation in the health sector.
Damascushas been seeking to broaden regional and international cooperation as part of efforts to rebuild its healthcare system, which was heavily damaged during years of war.
Earlier in June, Foreign MinisterAsaad Hassan al-Shaibanimet in Damascus a Jordanian delegation led by Foreign MinisterAyman Safadito review progress on implementing outcomes of the second session of the Jordanian-Syrian Higher Coordination Council, held in Amman on April 12, 2026.
Talks covered economic integration, transport, customs and water cooperation, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and advancing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
