Four Palestinians injured, five detained in West Bank raids and Israeli settler attacks

Occupied Jerusalem, June 17 (SANA)Four Palestinians were injured and five others detained on Wednesday during raids byIsraeli occupation forcesacross theWest Bank, whilesettlerscarried out attacks on homes and religious sites in several areas, according to thePalestiniannews agency WAFA.

WAFA reported that Israeli settlers attacked homes in the Bir Qouza and al-Hariq areas, damaging vehicles and property. Israeli forces later confronted residents who attempted to prevent the attacks, resulting in injuries to four Palestinians.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces raided several neighborhoods and detained a Palestinian after searching his home. Additional detentions were reported in the village of Beit Qad east of Jenin, as well as in Nablus and the nearby Askar refugee camp following house raids and searches.

Israeli forces also carried out a large-scale operation in the village of Beit Iksa, northwest ofoccupied Jerusalem, where dozens of residents were subjected to field interrogations. One person was detained, and a residential building was reportedly converted into a military post.

In the Bethlehem area, troops established a military checkpoint east of Beit Sahour, stopping and searching vehicles and causing traffic disruptions, WAFA reported.

Separately, settlers set fire to the Grand Mosque in the town of Jiljilya and the al-Farouq Mosque in the village of Mazari al-Nubani north of Ramallah, causing material damage. During a subsequent Israeli military raid, troops fired tear gas and stun grenades, although no injuries were reported.

Israeli occupation forces continue to conduct regular raids and detention operations across the occupied West Bank, amid ongoing tensions and reports of increasing settler attacks on Palestinians and their property.
