Syria joins Cairo fertilizer conference on food security and industry trends

Cairo, June 17 (SANA)The 32nd AnnualInternational Fertilizer Conferenceand its accompanying exhibition opened inCairoon Tuesday, bringing together representatives of governments, companies and regional and international institutions, including a Syrian delegation from the General Company for Fertilizers.

Organized by the Arab Fertilizer Association, the conference runs through June 18 and addresses key challenges and developments affecting the global fertilizer industry.

According to a statement posted by the Ministry of Economy and Industry on its Telegram channel on Tuesday, discussions focus on international market developments, energy security, supply and distribution chains, logistics challenges and their impact onglobal food security.

The event brings together leading experts, industry specialists and decision-makers from various countries to examine trends shaping the future of the fertilizer sector.

The conference is attracting broad international participation, with around 1,000 delegates and visitors, including executives from major global companies, producers, investors and representatives of international organizations.

The accompanying exhibition features fertilizer manufacturers as well as suppliers of industrial equipment, technologies and services, providing a platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing innovative solutions that support sector development and sustainability.

Syria’s participation comes as part of efforts to strengthen its presence at specialized industrial forums and keep pace with global developments in the fertilizer industry, while exploring opportunities for cooperation, investment and the exchange of technical and industrial expertise.
