Today (16) afternoon at the President's Office, I joined a discussion with the Circular Revision Committee appointed to issue recommendations to the Council of Ministers to issue new circulars by revoking the circulars that should be canceled in relation to the Government's Land Ordinance and Land Development Ordinance and to amend the circulars that need to be revised to match the present. The proposals presented by the expert committee were discussed at length. I pointed out the need to speed up the process of releasing underutilized land for new investment opportunities and to achieve the desired economic growth goals by expanding investment opportunities in this country. I also emphasized that a new policy should be prepared for effective use and investment to match the current state by avoiding the underutilization of government land. In accordance with the State Lands Ordinance and the Land Development Ordinance, I participated in the discussion held at the President's Office this afternoon (16) with the Circular Revision Committee appointed to make recommendations to the Cabinet to cancel the circulars to be canceled and issue new circulars, and to amend the circulars to suit the present day. There was a detailed discussion about the proposals presented by the special expert group. I pointed out the need to speed up the process of releasing underutilized land for new investment opportunities and to achieve the expected economic development goals by expanding the country's investment opportunities. I emphasized that a new policy should be formulated to avoid underutilization of government lands and to use and invest them in an effective manner in accordance with the current times. Attended a discussion this afternoon (16) at the Presidential Secretariat with the Circular Revision Committee appointed to submit recommendations to the Cabinet of Ministers on the cancellation of circulars that require repeal under the State Lands Ordinance and the Land Development Ordinance, the issuance of new circulars and the revision of existing circulars to ensure they are aligned with current requirements. Extensive discussions were held on the proposals submitted by the expert committee. I emphasized the need to expedite plans to accelerate the process of releasing underutilized lands for new investment opportunities, thereby expanding investment prospects in the country and achieving the anticipated economic growth targets. Also stressed that a new policy framework should be developed to ensure the effective utilization and investment of State lands in line with present-day requirements, while addressing the issue of underutilization.
