El MAP anuncia 2,000 becas para curso de inteligencia artificial dirigido a servidores públicos
Santo Domingo.–The Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) announced the availability of 2,000 scholarships for the virtual course “Artificial Generative Intelligence (IAGen): Fundamentals for the public function of Latin America and the Caribbean | RD Edition”, aimed at servers from the different public entities in the country.
This initiative, which has the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is developed within the framework of the Program to Strengthen the Management of the Civil Service of the Dominican Republic executed by the MAP to strengthen the capacities of the State and move towards efficient, innovative public management aligned with current technological challenges.
The course, taught through the IDB Academy, offers an introduction to generative artificial intelligence, addressing its main applications, as well as its ethical, responsible and safe use in the field of public service.
The training is completely virtual and self-directed, does not require prior knowledge and offers certification to those who meet the requirements established in the program.
Through this training, public servants will be able to acquire tools that allow them to optimize tasks, improve processes and strengthen their professional performance, incorporating AI as an ally in their daily work.
The MAP highlighted that this initiative is part of the process of modernization of the Dominican civil service, promoting the development of key digital competencies that contribute to a more agile, efficient and results-oriented public Administration.
Registration will be open until August 4, 2026. To participate, interested persons must contact the Human Resources unit of their institution to channel registration.
With this action, the Ministry of Public Administration reaffirms its commitment to strengthening human talent in the public sector, promoting the adoption of innovative tools that contribute to improving the quality of services offered to citizens, with the technical support of the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), the entity responsible for promoting the training and qualification of public servants.

A través de esta capacitación, los servidores públicos podrán adquirir herramientas que les permitanoptimizar tareas, mejorar procesos y fortalecer su desempeño profesional, incorporando la IA como aliada en su trabajo diario. El MAP destacó que esta iniciativa se enmarca en el proceso demodernización del servicio civil dominicano,promoviendo el desarrollo de competencias digitales clave que contribuyan a una Administración públicamás ágil, eficiente y orientada a resultados.
