Trabajos de la ETED fortalecerán la estabilidad del sistema de transmisión en comunidades de La Vega
Santo Domingo.–The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) reported that this Tuesday, June 16, it will carry out preventive replacement of structures and technical optimization on the 69 kV Bonao II – La Vega transmission line. These actions are part of the ongoing major infrastructure maintenance plan, aimed at strengthening the reliability of the network, preventing unforeseen events and guaranteeing safe and efficient high-voltage energy transportation in the northern part of the country.
The work will be carried out during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For reasons of safety of the brigades and to guarantee the success of the maneuver, during this period it will be necessary to interrupt the electricity supply in the following communities of La Vega: El Pino, Pontón, Prados del Norte, Residencial Don Pedro, Sabaneta, Jayaco Abajo, La Altagracia, Los Jaguares, Punta Larga, Piña Vieja, Loma Miranda, Callejón La Piedra, Jima Arriba, La Frontera, San Bartolo and Jima Rincón.
Likewise, the work will affect the circuit that feeds the Dominican Food Industry (Indal) and the Prof. Juan Bosch Trauma Hospital. In order to mitigate the impact and safeguard the continuity of health and production services, the ETED has coordinated in advance and directly with the representatives of these entities for the timely activation of their auxiliary generation systems.
The ETED appreciates the understanding of citizens and the productive sectors during the development of these tasks and reiterates that these scheduled interventions are fundamental for the modernization of the transmission infrastructure, focused on consolidating the stability of the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI) and decisively promoting the sustainable development of the Dominican Republic.
