Gobierno entrega techado del Club Domingo Paulino, en Santiago
Santiago de los Caballeros.–The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, together with the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, delivered the new multipurpose roof of the Domingo Paulino Club (CDP), a work that strengthens the sports and recreational infrastructure of this province.
The facility was built with an investment of RD 44,839,331.02 and covered an approximate intervention of 1,100 square meters, as part of the development and modernization program for sports facilities promoted by the Government through the Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec).
During the event, Minister Cruz highlighted that the delivery of the work responds to the commitment assumed by President Luis Abinader to provide the country with decent facilities for practicing sports and carrying out community activities, thus contributing to the comprehensive development of youth and the strengthening of Santiago society.
“With an investment of more than 44 million pesos, today we can see this work of art, a sports structure that, apart from its beauty, demonstrates how we were able to take advantage of this small space in the center of the gardens to provide a solution and a firm response to youth and sports,” Cruz said.
While Vice President Peña stated that “with deep emotion we inaugurate this heritage of our club, our community and our future generations, which is the CDP.”
The intervention included the construction of a modern roof with a metal structure, stands, administrative offices, public bathrooms, locker rooms for athletes, perimeter sidewalks and a cistern, in addition to the adaptation of the outdoor areas.
The stage was equipped with a maple wood plank built under FIBA standards; two professional stands with their respective regulatory boards; a digital whiteboard; 24 second clock; air conditioning system; seats for spectators and electrical installations completely renovated.
The delivery of the multipurpose roof of the Domingo Paulino Club is part of the actions carried out by the Government to expand and strengthen the national sports infrastructure, promoting greater opportunities for the practice of sports among children and young people and, at the same time, promoting healthy coexistence in the communities.

Mientras que la vicepresidenta Peña manifestó que“con profunda emoción inauguramos este patrimonio de nuestro club, de nuestra comunidad y de nuestras futuras generaciones, que es el CDP”. La intervención incluyó la construcción de unmoderno techadocon estructura metálica, graderías, oficinas administrativas, baños públicos, vestidores para atletas, aceras perimetrales y una cisterna, además de la adecuación de las áreas exteriores. El escenario fue equipado con un tabloncillo de madera de maple construidobajo los estándares de la FIBA;dos soportes profesionales con sus respectivos tableros reglamentarios; una pizarra digital; reloj de 24 segundos; sistema de aire acondicionado; asientos para los espectadores e instalaciones eléctricas completamente renovadas. La entrega del techado multiuso del Club Domingo Paulino forma parte de las acciones que ejecuta el Gobierno paraampliar y fortalecer la infraestructura deportiva nacional, promoviendo mayores oportunidades para la práctica del deporte entreniños y jóvenesy, a la vez, fomentando unasana convivencia en las comunidades.
