Three killed, 16 injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria
Provinces, June 15 (SANA)Three people were killed and 16 others injured intraffic accidentsandfiresto whichCivil Defenseteams under theMinistry of Emergencyand Disaster Management responded during the past 24 hours across Syria.
The Civil Defense said on its Telegram channel Monday that 17 traffic accidents were recorded, resulting in three deaths and 14 injuries. Response teams provided first aid to those injured before transporting them to hospitals for treatment. Teams also cleared accident sites and secured the affected areas.
Civil Defense teams additionally responded to 139 fires across the country, including 26 fires in agricultural fields and crops and 113 separate incidents involving homes, commercial shops, grass, trees, garbage and electrical cables.
The fires resulted in two injuries, both of whom received first aid, while the remaining incidents caused material damage only.
The Civil Defense renewed its call on residents not to light fires in forested areas or agricultural fields and to avoid discarding cigarette butts or glass containers along roadsides, particularly near crops and woodland areas. It further urged the public not to burn dry grass around homes or along roads and to remove it using safe methods.
According to the Civil Defense, 14 people were injured in fires and traffic accidents across Syria the previous day.
