Sweden beat Tunisia 5-1 in Group F at 2026 World Cup in Mexico

Mexico City, June 15, (SANA)Sweden launched its2026 FIFA World Cupcampaign in dominant fashion, defeating Tunisia 5-1 in their Group F opener at BBVA Stadium in northern Mexico.

Yasin Ayariopened the scoring forSwedenin the seventh minute, before Alexander Isak doubled the lead in the 30th.Tunisiapulled one back through Omar Rekik in the 43rd minute.

Viktor Gyokeres scored Sweden’s third in the 59th minute after a Tunisian defensive error. Mattias Svanberg added the fourth in the 84th, before Ayari scored his second goal of the match in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

The result places Sweden at the top ofGroup Fwith three points after the opening round of matches. Japan and the Netherlands occupy second and third places respectively with one point each, while Tunisia sits fourth without a point.
