Damascus, June.14 (SANA)Syria’s Information MinisterKhaled Zaarourdiscussed with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Damascus, Alnur Shah Huseynov, ways to expand bilateral media cooperation.

Information Minister affirmed that the new Syria is working to launch a new phase of relations with friendly countries, noting the Syrian people’s appreciation forAzerbaijan’s decision to sever diplomatic relations with the deposed regime duringthe Syrian revolution.

The minister also pointed to the importance of reformulating media discourse and ending the misleading narrative promoted by the Thedeposed regimeregarding Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Shah Huseynov emphasized the importance of the restoration of relations between Damascus andBakufollowing the fall of the deposed regime, noting that Syria has witnessed significant progress within a short period since the liberation of Syria.

He added that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Syria across various fields and sectors.
