I just spoke with the President of the United States of America - President Trump. I congratulated him on his birthday, on the day of the American army: today is two holidays in America, and we had a very good talk with him. There were not only congratulations - there were many key topics: about the war, about its roots, about diplomatic possibilities, and about the positions of our partners. They talked for a long time. Very detailed. We have one wish for President Trump – all Ukrainians – to finally achieve peace, so that we can achieve this success together with America, together with all our partners. This is the most important thing that we all want, and it is important that the American society fully supports this Ukrainian desire for a decent peace - supports us in defense against the Russian war. And the absolutely correct words of President Trump today were, in particular, about our Crimea: it was with the seizure of Crimea by Russia that everything started and that if there was strong leadership then, the whole war simply would not have happened. I thanked the President of the United States of America for all the help that the United States has given. We agreed on our meeting with him: in the coming days, the Group of Seven formats will be in Europe, of course, Ukraine and our defense, our opportunities to come to peace will be among the main topics.
