New York, June.13 (SANA)Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations,Ibrahim Olabi, met withUN Secretary-GeneralAntónio Guterresat United Nations Headquarters in New York.

During the meeting, Olabi delivered a written message fromSyria’s Foreign and Expatriates MinisterAsaad Hassan al-Shaibanito the UN Secretary-General.

Olabi reaffirmed Syria’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with theUnited Nationsin a manner that serves the interests of the Syrian people and safeguardsSyria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.

The meeting formed part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between Syria and the United Nations on issues of mutual interest.
