Three killed ,others injured in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon
Beirut, June 10 (SANA)Three people were killed and others injured on Wednesday inIsraeli airstrikeson the Tyre district insouthern Lebanon, amid continued attacks on several areas in the south of the country, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).
The agency reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Siddiqin in theTyre districtearly Wednesday, killing two people and wounding several others. Another strike on Tayr Dibba in the same district resulted in one fatality, while civil defence teams continued efforts to recover the victim’s body from under the rubble.
Israeli aircraft also carried out overnight airstrikes on the towns of Kfardounine and Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in the Tyre district, as well as Bnaafoul in the Zahrani district.
In the Nabatieh district, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle at the western entrance of the town of Doueir, while Kfar Remman came under heavy shelling during additional airstrikes.
Warplanes also struck Nabatieh al-Fawqa, following a series of overnight raids that hit areas near the Banque du Liban branch building and the al-Midan neighbourhood, in addition to strikes on Adchit and Kfar Remman.
Artillery shelling also targeted Sahmar and Yahmar in the Western Bekaa Valley, as well as Sajd, Qasiba, and the al-Mahmoudiya area in Nabatieh.
TheLebanese Ministry of Healthsaid on Tuesday that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 3,666, with 11,321 injured.
