UAE, Egypt discuss regional crises and efforts to strengthen bilateral ties
Abu Dhabi, June 10 (SANA)The United Arab Emirates and Egypt discussed regional developments and ways to deepen bilateral cooperation during a phone call between their foreign ministers on Wednesday, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
UAE Foreign MinisterSheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan andEgyptian Foreign MinisterBadr Abdelatty reviewed ongoing regional challenges and efforts aimed at promoting security, stability and peace across the Middle East.
The ministers also discussed the situation in theGaza Strip, stressing the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to regional stability and sustainable development.
Developments in Lebanon were also on the agenda, with the UAE reaffirming its support for Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as efforts to enhance stability and economic recovery.
The two sides further discussed the conflict in Sudan, emphasizing the need for a permanent ceasefire, the protection of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
They also underlined the importance of advancing a political solution and supporting an inclusive civilian-led transition that reflects the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security, stability and development.
The call reflects ongoing coordination between the UAE and Egypt on key regional issues and their efforts to support diplomatic solutions to regional crises.
