Israeli strikes kill 11 in southern Lebanon as raids hit multiple towns
Beirut, June 10 (SANA)At least 11 people were killed and several others wounded in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Wednesday, according toLebanon’sstate-run National News Agency (NNA), as attacks targeted multiple towns in the country’s south.
The deadliest strike hit the town of Tayr Debba near Tyre, where eightIsraeli airstrikeskilled six people and injured several others, the agency reported. A number of civilians were also reported missing under the rubble.
Two more people were killed in a separate strike on the town of Siddiqine, while three others were killed in earlier attacks elsewhere in theTyredistrict, bringing the total death toll to 11.
The NNA said Israeli warplanes carried out additional strikes on several locations, including Majdal Zoun, which was hit by five airstrikes, as well as Tayr Harfa, Wadi Hassan, al-Bazouriyeh and Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.
Further attacks were reported in other parts of southern Lebanon, with airstrikes targeting Houmine al-Fawqa in the Nabatieh district and Ghassaniyeh near Sidon.
The agency also reported that Israeli forces demolished several homes in the town of Ghandouriyeh in the Bint Jbeil district.
Meanwhile, artillery shelling struck Deir Mimas in the Marjayoun district, as well as the towns of al-Qlayleh, al-Mansouri and Zebqine near Tyre.
