Inefi y FDF fomentan el fútbol en La Vega con la entrega de balones
La Vega.-The National Institute of Physical Education (Inefi) and the Dominican Football Federation (FDF) continue to promote the sport of football with the delivery of special balls, through their innovative programFIFA Football for Schools, at the James Davis Christian Polytechnic Institute (Tears), located in this “Olympic City”.
In addition to implementing the innovative program, Inefi also continued with its “National Prop Delivery Tour”, benefiting 10 vegan educational centers. The main event was led by coach Betzaida Ubrí, representing the executive director of Inefi, Alberto Rodríguez Mella, who highlighted that the initiative's purpose is to “promote sports, education and the comprehensive training of our students.”
“Today we meet at this James Davis Christian Polytechnic Institute to continue strengthening school sports and promote values through football and physical activity,” said Ubrí, when addressing the educational authorities, representatives of the FDF, Inefi, teachers, students and special guests who gathered at that study center.
The delivery of balls was carried out by the member of the FDF executive committee, Angiolino Abreu, in the schools belonging to Educational Districts 15-03, 15-05 and 15-02, as part of the actions to strengthen the FIFA Football for Schools program.
In his presentation, Abreu spoke about the impact of the football project on the training of Dominican students.
While the director of Educational District 06-04, Blanca Ruiz Ángeles, agreed with Abreu when highlighting how beneficial the application of the program will be for the students.
During the day, a mini sports festival was held in which students from the James Davis Christian Polytechnic Institute saw action, who participated in recreational and sports activities coordinated by the FDF technical team, as part of the FIFA Football for Schools program.
Ten schools benefited from props
The Inefi, after having impacted the towns of Azua, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Duvergé, Higüey and Mao, continued with its National Tour of Sports Equipment Delivery in 10 educational centers in La Vega.
The director of the Dominican Olympic Hostel, José Luis Bautista, representing Alberto Rodríguez Mella, led the event, highlighting that this initiative will strengthen the practice of sports and physical education for the benefit of all students. “Our purpose is to continue strengthening the practice of physical education and encourage the participation of students in sports and recreational activities, thus contributing to their comprehensive training and the development of healthy habits,” he expressed.
Bautista thanked the authorities, teachers, students, fathers, mothers, representatives of the educational community and special guests who gathered on such a significant day for the presence.
At the event were the governor of La Vega, Luisa Jiménez; the coordinator of Inefi, Ruperto Ruck; the regional and provincial directors of Sports, Leonardo Ramos and Miguel Adames, respectively, and the national teaching technician, Uriel Díaz. Also attending were the director of District 04, Blanca Ruiz; the advisor Ángel Durán, representing the Regional Director of Education, Federico Pérez, and the leaders Danny Holguín, Francisco Jiménez and Darwin Vladimir Almonte.
