In the press conference this Wednesday, Chief Zamora also referred to the statements of some of the so-called experts who insist on discrediting the work of the police of the Ministry of Public Security, pointing out incorrect figures. They also wanted to disqualify the explanations given about the new modalities of the maritime transfer of drugs between the south and the north of the continent," highlighted Minister Zamora.
The Minister of Public Security, Mario Zamora Cordero, explained that in 2023 more than 21 tons of cocaine, 22 and a half tons of marijuana, 370 thousand plants of the same drug, 579 thousand doses of synthetic drugs and more than a thousand doses of fentanyl were seized.

También se ha querido descalificar las explicaciones dadas sobre las nuevas modalidades del trasiego marítimo de drogas entre el sur y el norte del continente”, destacó el ministro Zamora. En la última semana destaca la incautación de 515 armas blancas y 22 armas de fuego, el decomiso de 20 motocicletas, este último muy importante por tratarse del principal vehículo utilizado por el sicariato. Los delitos contra la propiedad disminuyeron en un 25 por ciento, pasando de 559 a 417, esto en comparación con la semana trasanterior. En específico, resaltan el hurto que bajó un 42 por ciento y la tacha de vehículos un 44 por ciento. Se deportó a 26 personas, hubo 581 rechazos migratorios y 23 aprehensiones migratorias.
