Aleppo, June 10 (SANA)Minister of InformationKhaled Zaarour, accompanied by Aleppo GovernorAzzam al-Gharib, met on Wednesday with a large assembly of journalists, broadcasters, and media personnel in Aleppo as part of efforts to strengthen communication with media workers and assess the state of media work in the province.

The meeting focused on the ministry’s future media vision, mechanisms for improving media performance and the key challenges facing journalists. Participants also discussed proposals and demands aimed at advancing media work and strengthening its role in addressing issues of public concern.

Moataz Khattab, Director of Public Relations at the Aleppo Media Directorate, told SANA that the meeting provided an opportunity for direct dialogue between the Minister of Information and media professionals in the governorate. He noted that discussions addressed challenges facing the media sector and explored a range of proposals and solutions to support and develop media work.

The meeting forms part of the Ministry of Information’s broader efforts to strengthen engagement with media professionals across Syria and benefit from their views and proposals in order to develop the media sector and enhance its performance.
