Received a courtesy visit from the Ericsson delegation led by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Börje Ekholm. This meeting gave space to discuss the development of digital technology, the expansion of 5G use as well as the potential for closer cooperation to strengthen the country's digital economy. Also discussed was the need to develop a greener and more sustainable telecommunications network, in line with the country's aspirations for Net Zero Emissions. At the same time, more companies need to take advantage of 5G technology to improve productivity, innovation and competitiveness. I appreciate Ericsson's confidence in Malaysia, especially the recognition of the country's progress in developing strong digital infrastructure, including 5G networks, data centers and efforts to strengthen digital security and sovereignty. I also welcome Ericsson's commitment to developing local talent through training programs, technology transfer and collaboration with local universities and educational institutions. This effort is important to produce skilled workers who are ready to face the demands of the future economy. Malaysia appreciates the good relationship that has been established with Ericsson for a long time and I am confident that this cooperation will continue to be strengthened based on stability and trust, thus opening up more opportunities to drive the growth of the digital economy and the prosperity of the country. #MalaysiaMADANI #MADANIwork #YakinMADANI

Menerima kunjungan hormat delegasi Ericsson yang diketuai Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya, Börje Ekholm. Pertemuan ini memberi ruang membincangkan perkembangan teknologi digital, peluasan penggunaan 5G serta potensi kerjasama yang lebih erat bagi memperkukuh ekonomi digital negara. Turut dibincangkan keperluan membangunkan rangkaian telekomunikasi yang lebih hijau dan mampan, selari dengan aspirasi Pelepasan Sifar Bersih negara. Pada masa sama, lebih banyak syarikat perlu memanfaatkan teknologi 5G bagi meningkatkan produktiviti, inovasi dan daya saing. Saya menghargai keyakinan Ericsson terhadap Malaysia, khususnya pengiktirafan terhadap kemajuan negara dalam membangunkan infrastruktur digital yang kukuh, termasuk rangkaian 5G, pusat data serta usaha memperteguh keselamatan dan kedaulatan digital.
