Presidente Mulino recorre construcción del nuevo Hospital de Metetí, que estará listo a inicios del 2027
The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, visited this Wednesday the construction of the new Metetí Hospital, in the province of Darién, another work that is being rescued from the apathy of previous administrations.
This health facility, of 46 thousand square meters, is 75% complete, and its delivery is projected for the beginning of 2027.
Engineers from the Metetí Consortium, in charge of the contract, guided President Mulino through the work, and explained to him that it will have emergency services, outpatient consultation, pharmacy, teaching, laboratory, imaging, hemodialysis, rehabilitation and support services.
It will also include three operating rooms, an intensive care room, 139 hospitalization beds, a maternity area and a medical residence. In terms of accessibility, it will have 124 parking spaces and 17 parking spaces for people with disabilities.
President Mulino also spoke with the workers, whom he congratulated for their effort and dedication to have this installation as soon as possible for the benefit of the entire province. He also emphasized that there are more inaugurations of hospitals, health centers, polyclinics and Minsa-Capsi throughout the country.
The construction of the new Metetí hospital has generated 356 direct and 259 indirect jobs. Once it is operational, it will benefit more than 74 thousand inhabitants of Darién and regions.
Accompanying President Mulino on his tour were the Ministers of Public Security, Frank Ábrego; of Labor and Labor Development, Jackeline Muñoz; and the director of the National Police, Jaime Fernández.

En cuanto a accesibilidad, tendrá 124 estacionamientos y 17 estacionamientos para personas con discapacidad. El presidente Mulino también conversó con los obreros, a quienes felicitó por su empeño y dedicación para tener esta instalación lo más pronto posible para beneficio de toda la provincia. También enfatizó en que vienen más inauguraciones de hospitales, centros de salud, policlínicas y Minsa-Capsi en todo el país.
