SeNaSa cierra en positivo primer trimestre de 2026 y publica estados financieros de 2024 y 2025
Santo Domingo.–The National Health Insurance (SeNaSa) reported that during the first quarter of 2026 the institution registered positive preliminary results for an amount of RD 1,283,000.00, as a consequence of the financial strengthening actions, technological modernization and optimization of the institution's internal processes.
Likewise, the institution reported the publication of the results corresponding to the financial year 2024, the preliminary statements for the year 2025, as well as the months from January to March 2026, which reflect the levels of control and optimization applied to the use of the resources managed by the institution.
SeNaSa pointed out that these measures have achieved a reduction in the accumulated deficit by 2024, which responds positively to the financial reorganization, resource optimization and strengthening of controls measures implemented during the last period, evidencing a sustained improvement in the financial indicators and operational sustainability of the institution.
The state ARS indicated that the financial statements for the year 2024, the preliminary ones for 2025 and those for January to March 2026, are available for public consultation through its institutional website, as part of the transparency and accountability policies that support public management.
Technological transformation and institutional strengthening
As part of its modernization and institutional strengthening process, SeNaSa developed a new technological platform for the management and authorization of medicines, allowing it to speed up the response to members and strengthen the control and traceability mechanisms in the distribution of medicines.
Likewise, the implementation of this platform has contributed to reducing response times in drug authorization processes, strengthening the quality of care provided to members, and consolidating a service-oriented institutional culture. In addition, it has made possible the incorporation of more than 12,000 health providers nationwide, strengthening the service network and improving timely access of members to health benefits.
Likewise, he highlighted the progress of the SeNaSa InTEgrA program, an initiative aimed at guaranteeing comprehensive care and coverage for members with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through a network of public and private services with an interdisciplinary approach.
The program from which 1,103 affiliates currently benefit includes coverage for diagnosis, therapies, clinical follow-up and medications, with an emphasis on early childhood, as part of a vision focused on expanding access to specialized services, reducing barriers to care and strengthening inclusion within the Dominican Social Security System.
SeNaSa pointed out that this initiative is part of the institutional transformation efforts aimed at consolidating more modern, sustainable, humanized care models focused on the needs of the affiliated population.
Articulation and inter-institutional relations
The institution also valued within its results the synergy and coordinated work between the Technical and Advisory Commission and CoSeNaSa, spaces from which initiatives continue to be promoted aimed at institutional strengthening, the sustainability of the system and the implementation of greater administrative, financial and operational controls to guarantee more efficient, transparent and results-oriented management.
In this sense, SeNaSa reported that, to date, six periodic meetings have been held together with CoSeNaSa, at the request of the Executive Directorate and chaired by the Minister of Public Health and Social Assistance, Dr. Víctor Atallah, as part of the monitoring and articulation of strategic actions aimed at strengthening internal processes and institutional governance.
The Technical Advisory Commission appointed by the Executive Branch has played an important role in supporting CoSeNaSa, through its observations and guidance. As a result of some 16 meetings held, three technical analyzes and two proposals have been prepared to strengthen the capacity to monitor the financial balance of the institution. Likewise, it has issued a No Objection at the request of the Executive Directorate of SeNaSa.
The National Health Insurance highlighted the strengthening of inter-institutional relations with key actors in the health system of the Dominican Republic, through spaces for coordination, dialogue and strategic articulation that contribute to strengthening the institutional response capacity and the continuous improvement of the services offered to the affiliated population.
As part of these actions, the institution highlighted the work meetings held together with the National Health Service (SNS), aimed at creating joint strategies to strengthen the public health network, including hospitals and primary care centers, with the aim of optimizing the quality and opportunity of health services at the national level.
He indicated that this articulation has allowed progress in making strategic decisions, monitoring institutional processes and consolidating policies focused on guaranteeing greater efficiency and quality in the provision of health services.
SeNaSa reiterated its commitment to continue strengthening its operational, administrative and technological capabilities, with the purpose of continuing to guarantee timely, efficient and quality services for all its affiliates.

Transformación tecnológica y fortalecimiento institucional Como parte de su proceso demodernización y fortalecimiento institucional, SeNaSa desarrolló una nueva plataforma tecnológica para la gestión y autorización de medicamentos, permitiendo agilizar la respuesta a los afiliados y fortalecer losmecanismos de controly trazabilidad en la distribución de medicamentos. De igual manera, la implementación de esta plataforma ha contribuido areducir los tiempos de respuestaen los procesos de autorización de medicamentos, fortalecer la calidad de la atención brindada a los afiliados y consolidar una cultura institucional orientada al servicio. Además, ha hecho posible la incorporación de más de 12,000 prestadores de saluda nivel nacional, fortaleciendo la red de servicios y mejorando el acceso oportuno de los afiliados a las prestaciones de salud. Asimismo, destacó los avances del programaSeNaSa InTEgrA, iniciativa orientada a garantizaratención integral y coberturaa afiliados conTrastorno del Espectro Autista(TEA), mediante una red de servicios públicos y privados con enfoque interdisciplinario. En ese sentido, SeNaSa informó que, hasta la fecha, se han realizado seis reuniones periódicas junto con el CoSeNaSa, a solicitud de la Dirección Ejecutiva y presididas por el ministro de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social,Dr. Víctor Atallah, como parte del seguimiento y articulación deacciones estratégicasdirigidas a fortalecer los procesos internos y la gobernanza institucional. La Comisión Técnica Asesora designada por elPoder Ejecutivoha jugado un rol importante en el acompañamiento de CoSeNaSa, mediante sus observaciones y orientaciones. Como parte de estas acciones, la institución resaltó las reuniones de trabajo sostenidas junto al Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), dirigidas a lacreación de estrategias conjuntaspara fortalecer la red pública de salud, incluyendo hospitales y centros de atención primaria, con el objetivo deoptimizar la calidad y oportunidadde los servicios de salud a nivel nacional. Indicó que esta articulación ha permitido avanzar en la toma de decisiones estratégicas, el seguimiento de los procesos institucionales y la consolidación de políticas enfocadas en garantizarmayor eficiencia y calidaden la prestación de los servicios de salud.
