Consejo de Gobierno nombra nueva Presidenta de la CCSS
This afternoon, the Governing Council appointed Ms. Mónica Taylor Hernández as the new Executive President of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS). Taylor Hernández, 46 years old, is a professional with extensive experience of 24 years in public service, in institutions such as the Ministry of Finance and the Presidency of the Republic. She is a lawyer by profession, she has a degree in Law and Notaries, a master's degree in Public Law and a diploma in Tax Law. The new president of the Fund is a proactive, responsible person with great ability to work as a team and is used to responding to the highest levels of demand. The new President of the CCSS takes on “this challenge at the head of the most important institution in the country, it is an enormous challenge that I take on with courage, professionalism and commitment, I feel honored, capable, and excited because I am going to serve my country.” And he added that he will fight to combat the corruption that trapped the CCSS for years, as well as to eliminate the care networks that exist in the institution "more than honored to serve my country through this institution, users deserve top-level attention and that is the main objective."

El Consejo de Gobierno nombró esta tarde a la señora Mónica Taylor Hernández como nueva Presidenta Ejecutiva de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS). Taylor Hernández, de 46 años, es una profesional con una amplia experiencia de 24 años en la función pública, en instituciones como el Ministerio de Hacienda y la Presidencia de la República. Es abogada de profesión, cuenta con una licenciatura en Derecho y Notariado, una maestría en Derecho Público y un diplomado en Derecho Tributario. La nueva presidenta de la Caja es una persona proactiva, responsable con mucha capacidad para trabajar en equipo y está acostumbrada a responder a los más altos niveles de exigencia. La nueva Presidenta de la CCSS asume “este reto al frente de la institución más importante del país, es un desafío enorme que tomo con valentía, profesionalismo y compromiso, me siento honrada, capaz, emocionada porque voy a servirle a mi país”. Y agregó que luchará por combatir la corrupción que atrapó a la CCSS por años, así como para eliminar las redes de cuido que existen en la institución “más que honrada de servir a mi país a través de esta institución, los usuarios merecen una atención de primer nivel y ese es el principal objetivo”.
