Tourisme, industrie et commerce : Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI face aux nouveaux défis du développement
After three years at the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI now takes command of the Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Trade, in charge of Industry and the Promotion of Private Investment. The handover ceremony held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 with Mrs. Shadiya Alimatou ASSOUMAN reflects the desire to continue the dynamic of transformation initiated under the vision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Romuald WADAGNI. Today, this strategic ministry carries the economic, industrial and tourism ambitions of tomorrow's Benin. Over the last ten years, the country has recorded major progress in the tourism, trade and industry sectors. Reference events such as Vodun Days and the Festival of Masks have contributed to Benin's international influence, while several structural reforms have made it possible to strengthen industrial infrastructure, promote local raw materials and gradually improve the business climate as well as foreign trade performance. While the results are visible, the challenges remain numerous: accelerating industrial transformation, attracting more private investment, creating more jobs for youth and strengthening Benin's competitiveness on international markets. Aware of this responsibility, Mr. Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI intends to maintain the course of reforms and make national wealth real levers of opportunity, growth and sustainable prosperity for future generations.

Après trois années passées à la tête du Ministère des Affaires étrangères, Monsieur Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI prend désormais les commandes du Ministère du Tourisme et du Commerce Extérieur, en charge de l’Industrie et de la Promotion de l’Investissement Privé. La cérémonie de passation de service tenue le mardi 26 mai 2026 avec Madame Shadiya Alimatou ASSOUMAN traduit la volonté de poursuivre la dynamique de transformation engagée sous la vision du Président de la République, Monsieur Romuald WADAGNI. Ce ministère stratégique porte aujourd’hui les ambitions économiques, industrielles et touristiques du Bénin de demain.Au cours des dix dernières années, le pays a enregistré des avancées majeures dans les secteurs du tourisme, du commerce et de l’industrie. Des évènements de référence comme les Vodun Days et le Festival des Masques ont contribué au rayonnement international du Bénin, tandis que plusieurs réformes structurelles ont permis de renforcer les infrastructures industrielles, de promouvoir les matières premières locales et d’améliorer progressivement le climat des affaires ainsi que les performances du commerce extérieur.Si les résultats sont visibles, les défis à relever restent nombreux : accélérer la transformation industrielle, attirer davantage d’investissements privés, créer plus d’emplois pour la jeunesse et renforcer la compétitivité du Bénin sur les marchés internationaux. Conscient de cette responsabilité, Monsieur Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI entend maintenir le cap des réformes et faire des richesses nationales de véritables leviers d’opportunités, de croissance et de prospérité durable pour les générations futures.
