The Permanent Secretary of State, Martin Eyjólfsson, this week undertook a visit to Washington D.C. for discussions about the bilateral relationship between Iceland and the United States. Trade and tariffs and the two countries‘ cooperation in the field of security and defense were high on the agenda, as were international affairs, including the topic of Greenland and the Arctic and the transatlantic relationship.
