His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received, in his office at the Emiri Diwan today, the credentials of three new ambassadors to the country.

His Highness received the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Shuraim, Ambassador of the sister State of Kuwait, His Excellency Mr. Aybek Tektopolotov, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, and His Excellency Ms. Ana Filomena da Costa Rocha, Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal.

His Highness the Emir welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in carrying out their duties, and for the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and their countries further progress and prosperity.

For their part, Their Excellencies the Ambassadors conveyed to His Highness the Emir the greetings of the leaders of their countries, and their wishes to the Qatari people for continued development and growth.

An official reception ceremony was held for Their Excellencies the Ambassadors upon their arrival at the Amiri Diwan.
