Bioethikkommission
The Bioethics Commission is an advisory body for the Federal Chancellor on bioethics with an office in the Federal Chancellery.
She advises the Federal Chancellor on all social, scientific and legal questions from an ethical perspective that arise in connection with the development of science in the field of human medicine and human biology. This includes in particular

Die Bioethikkommission ist ein Beratungsgremium für den Bundeskanzler zu Bioethik mit Geschäftsstelle im Bundeskanzleramt. Sie berät den Bundeskanzler in allen gesellschaftlichen, naturwissenschaftlichen und rechtlichen Fragen aus ethischer Sicht, die sich im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung der Wissenschaften auf dem Gebiet der Humanmedizin und Humanbiologie ergeben. Dazu gehört insbesondere Sie ist in Ausübung ihrer Beratungstätigkeit unabhängig. Die Bioethikkommission wurde am 29. Juni 2001 beim Bundeskanzleramt eingesetzt.
