Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met today, Wednesday, with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev. During the meeting, the Ambassador delivered two written messages of congratulations from the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin, and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Mikhail Mishustin, in which they emphasized the importance of the bilateral relationship, founded on friendship and mutual respect, and expressed their aspiration to further strengthen and develop cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and contributes to regional and international security and stability. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi also received an invitation from President Putin to participate in the Eighth Meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), to be held in Moscow on October 27.
