Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Meets the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq ….. Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met today, Thursday, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq, Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar. The Ambassador conveyed the congratulations of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on the occasion of the government gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives and the formation of the new government. She also affirmed her country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Spain and expanding cooperation across various fields. During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the depth of the distinguished relations between the two countries and Iraq’s readiness to further develop and advance them, particularly in the economic, development, and investment sectors, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly peoples. For her part, the Spanish Ambassador praised the achievements of the Iraqi government in strengthening state sovereignty and restricting arms to state authority, affirming that these steps contribute to consolidating stability and improving the investment environment.
