This afternoon I held a meeting with six major Japanese and international companies, namely IBM Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, ENEOS Corporation, Shizen Energy Inc., DENSO Corporation and Marubeni Corporation. These companies are among the world leaders in artificial intelligence (AI), advanced computing technology, high-tech automotive, energy, infrastructure and renewable energy development. Discussions focused on potential collaborations and new investment opportunities in strategic sectors such as energy, halal industry, AI, data centers, digital technology and future industries. When the world is facing a global supply and energy crisis, this cooperation is important to strengthen economic resilience and security of national supply. Our focus is to attract more quality investments, strengthen the country's high-tech ecosystem, create high-value job opportunities for the people as well as strengthen the long-standing Malaysia-Japan economic relationship.
