One of the symbols of the silent revolution in state administration centered on national will and civil politics is the change in the duties, structure, functioning and position of our National Security Council. Legal and constitutional regulations have made it possible for the Board and our General Secretariat to carry out their primary missions more effectively, more efficiently and on a basis that complies with democratic standards. Our General Secretariat, which once had to work in a wide range of areas, from the determination of foreign languages ​​to be taught in educational institutions to the supervision of cinema and musical works, is now relieved of these burdens. I find it very valuable not only for Turkish democracy but also for Turkey's national security that our General Secretariat gets rid of these tasks that distract its attention and energy and focuses on its primary duties. Hopefully, we will continue to strengthen Turkey's power by making best use of the advantages that the Presidential System of Government has brought to our state administration and decision-making processes.
