President José Raúl Mulino, accompanied by the first lady, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, was received this Monday with all official honors at the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport in Athens by Chistos Dimas, Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation; Efthymios Efthymiades, Greek ambassador to Panama; Julie Lymberópulos, ambassador of Panama in Greece; and by Foreign Minister Javier Martínez Acha. In his first activity in Greece, Mulino will inaugurate this Monday, at the Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Center, the Posidonia 2026 International Maritime Fair, as part of his agenda in Athens, where he seeks to reinforce confidence in the Panamanian flag and new investment opportunities. Posidonia 2026, to be held from June 1 to 5, is the most important maritime fair in the world, where the participation of more than 2 thousand is expected. exhibitors from 138 countries, hence the importance of the president's visit and his participation in both this event and this international tour. He will meet with businessmen and authorities who have an important role in the registration of Panamanian ships. Together with his delegation, Mulino inaugurates the Panama stand, in which representatives of the Panama Canal, the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industries participate. After the opening, he will tour some pavilions of interest to Panama. This Tuesday, President Mulino will meet with his counterpart from the Hellenic Republic and with the Greek Prime Minister, Konstantínos Tasoúlas and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, respectively. The agenda also foresees bilateral meetings between the delegations of both countries, to address issues of cooperation and Greek investments in Panama in maritime and logistics areas. Likewise, decorations and signing of agreements related to tourism and foreign relations will be carried out.
