Presidente Mulino designa un equipo interinstitucional para determinar el futuro de la mina
The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, announced this Thursday in a message to the country that he has given instructions to form an inter-institutional team that will prepare a report on the technical, economic and environmental reality of the mine established in Donoso.
This inter-institutional team will be made up of the Ministers of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó (who will lead it); of Economy and Finance, Felipe Chapman; and from Environment, Juan Carlos Navarro.
Mulino explained that the inter-institutional team will consult the opinions of experts on legal, technical, economic and environmental issues to determine the future of the mine under clear and objective information, with concrete data.
"I have known what improvisation caused, what the lack of clear information generated in society. So, by taking steps in the right direction, we will have a concrete and serious report," said the president.
“In the same way as was done with the ports, we will work responsibly, listening to those who know, know and have experience in the matter to make the best decisions in favor of the country and its people,” he emphasized.

El presidente de la República, José Raúl Mulino, anunció este jueves en un mensaje al país que ha dado instrucción para conformar un equipo interinstitucional que elaborará un informe sobre la realidad técnica, económica y ambiental de la mina establecida en Donoso. Este equipo interinstitucional estará integrado por los ministros de Comercio e Industrias, Julio Moltó (quien lo encabezará); de Economía y Finanzas, Felipe Chapman; y de Ambiente, Juan Carlos Navarro. Mulino explicó que el equipo interinstitucional consultará las opiniones de expertos en temas jurídicos, técnicos, económicos y medioambientales para determinar el futuro de la mina bajo información clara y objetiva, con datos concretos. “He sabido lo que la improvisación causó, lo que la falta de información clara generó en la sociedad. Entonces, dando los pasos en el sentido correcto, tendremos un informe concreto y serio”, apuntó el mandatario. “De la misma manera que se hizo con los puertos, trabajaremos con responsabilidad, escuchando a quienes saben, conocen y tienen experiencia en la materia para tomar las mejores decisiones a favor del país y de su gente”, enfatizó.
