Presidente Abinader inaugura techado deportivo-escolar que beneficiará a más de 600 estudiantes de la Escuela Narciso Alberti, en el municipio de Cevicos
Sánchez Ramírez.–President Luis Abinader inaugurated this Thursday a sports-school roof at the Narciso Alberti School, in the municipality of Cevicos, a work that will benefit more than 600 students by providing an adequate space for sports, recreational, cultural and educational activities.
Later, the president will deliver another roof at the Francisco Henríquez y Carvajal School, in the municipality of Cotuí, which will positively impact more than 900 students.
The works, carried out by the Directorate of School Infrastructure (DIE), directed by engineer Roberto Herrera, are part of the projects promoted by the Government to strengthen education and promote the comprehensive development of youth through safe and modern spaces.
During the event, the Vice Minister of Teacher Accreditation and Certification of the Ministry of Education, Francisco D'Oleo Ramírez, representing Minister Luis Miguel De Camps, stated that the delivery of this new roof constitutes an important step to enrich the educational experience of the students, by providing the center with appropriate areas for practicing sports and carrying out cultural and artistic activities.
The official highlighted that the Narciso Alberti School represents an example of quality within the Dominican educational system, housing more than 600 students with outstanding indicators of academic performance and compliance with the school calendar.
Likewise, he valued the commitment of the teachers and highlighted the participation of the student Amanda Rodríguez Morales as an example of the progress made by the educational community.
He explained that these works respond to President Abinader's vision of guaranteeing decent and modern facilities that contribute to the physical, emotional and academic growth of students, while strengthening the conditions for higher quality education.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of School Infrastructure, he thanked the president for his support of the educational sector and urged students, teachers, parents and community members to take care of the new facilities so that they continue to serve future generations.
Student Amanda Rodríguez Morales thanked the delivery of the sports-school roof on behalf of her classmates, considering that the work represents an opportunity to learn, share and develop talents in an appropriate environment.
"We receive this work with gratitude and joy. Today we have a place where we can play sports, carry out school activities and continue strengthening our values as students," he expressed.

Later, President Abinader will deliver the sports-school roof of the Francisco Henríquez y Carvajal School, in the municipality of Cotuí, a work that will expand the areas for sports, recreation and school coexistence, benefiting more than 900 students.
The new space will allow physical activities, sports competitions, cultural events and community meetings to be carried out throughout the year, without depending on weather conditions.
President Luis Abinader was accompanied by the president of the Senate, Ricardo de los Santos; the provincial governor, Cristina Rodríguez; the mayor of Cevicos, Edward Contreras; the regional director of Education, Virginia Suriel; the director of Educational District 16-03, Pilar Hernández, and the directors of the educational centers, Rosmendi Cleto Tineo and Yadira Henríquez, among other personalities.
