Damascus, June. 11 (SANA)Commander of theSyrian Border GuardForces, Brig. Gen. Hassan Abdul Ghani, met on Thursday a delegation from theLebanese Armyheaded by Brig. Gen. Michel Boutros, Liaison Officer.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on enhancing cooperation and coordination in the field of border control and combating smuggling activities.

The discussions underscored the importance of continued coordination between the two sides in a manner that contributes to reinforcing border security and stability between the two neighboring countries.
