Washington, June. 11 (SANA)A Syrian delegation comprising Syrian chargé d’affaires in WashingtonMohammad Kanatriand Assistant Minister of Energy Ibrahim al-Addahan participated in a panel discussion on the Four Seas Initiative, organized by the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy and attended by ambassadors, officials and international experts.

The initiative aims to promote regional economic integration and energy connectivity through the development of strategic corridors linking the Arabian Gulf, the Caspian Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea, with particular emphasis on the Syrian-Turkish border region as a pivotal hub within these networks.

The event also featured discussions on opportunities for Syria’s reconstruction through its integration into regional transit and logistics systems, including projects to rehabilitate oil and gas transportation routes.

Participants highlighted the potential contribution of such projects to strengthening regional economic interconnectivity while generating sustainable revenues and supporting long-term economic development in Syria.
